Tempelhof Airport set to host epic 48-hour party

The cultural eclecticism and spirit of Berlin has been well and truly captured in the arrangements for this year’s installment of the Berlin Festival.

Commencing on September 5th — 7th, the weekend-long event will showcase acts from across the board, providing a party of un-paralleled stamina.

Tempelhof Airport welcomes a well-rounded selection of artists including Sven Väth, Woodkid, Moderat, Editors, DARKSIDE, Warpaint, Jessie Ware, Kid Ink, Bombay Bicycle Club, Trentemøller (live), DJ Koze, Chase and Status (DJ set), Crystal Fighters, Neneh Cherry & Rocketnumbernine, Ellen Allien, Mount Kimbie, Hudson Mohawke, Foreign Beggars and Jimmy Edgar.

This unexpected but well-curated mix of artists from varying backgrounds suggests a balanced flow of music throughout the weekend.From the unrelenting groove of Sven Väth and DJ Koze to the soulful ambience of Warpaint and Bombay Bicycle Club, there is definitely something here for everyone.

The city’s famously un-abiding body-clock is apparent in the proceedings, with the Festival continuing non-stop for the whole 48-hour duration. With a whole host of different stages, art installations and entertainment, there’s certainly enough to keep everyone busy for the entirety of the weekend.

Berlin Festival have teamed up with various local institutions including their friends First We Take Berlin, who will showcase the likes of HVOB, Highasakite and Rüfüs on the airfield stage along with club institution Yaam, Splash! Mag and LGBT also curating their respective areas with many more acts to be announced.

This epic festival will be held in the true spirit of Berlin’s music scene, making it one that no self-respecting Berlin festival-goer should miss.
