WATCH BENNY PAGE'S SINGLE LAUNCH FILM

See the after-movie for 'Champion Sound' launch at the Jazz Cafe

Benny Page, the hot underground (drum &) bass music producer, launched his new single 'Champion Sound' at the Jazz Cafe in London recently — a show sponsored by DJ Mag.

It was a riotous night. Friends of Benny such as Congo Natty and Rodney P and Skitz did slots to support Benny, who was doing his first ever live show with MCs such as the legendary Tippa Irie.

Benny was launching his ace new single, 'Champion Sound', which runs throughout the film here. It's a cracking dancehall-tinged junglist piece that had the crowd skanking all over the show at the event on the night.

See the after-movie here:

Benny has recorded with loads of dancehall artists in Jamaica recently — around 25 vocalists in all, including Beenie Man, Spice, Italis, Richie Loop, General Degree and lots of others. Many will feature on his forthcoming album.

He first shot to prominence in the drum & bass scene when he was signed by Shy FX for his label Digital Soundboy. His 'Turn Down The Lights' tune hit big, and he has continued to throw out dubwise d&b tracks and other tunes in varied bass music styles ever since.
