A look inside the making of 'Havana Cultura Mix – The Soundclash!'

Last month, Havana Cultura released its latest mix entitled 'Havana Cultura Mix – The Soundclash!'. The project brought producers from all over the world to Havana, where they collaborated in the studio with local Cuban musicians.

6 Music DJ and producer Gilles Peterson took lead on project by overseeing the artists while they worked on their various creations. The result was a twelve-track album released on 27^th October via Brownswood Recordings.

The album serves as a fresh mixture between traditional rhythms from Cuba, like salsa and rumba, and electronic sounds such as house, footwork and UK funky from producers around the globe.

Featured artists include UK's Rukaiya Russell, Russia's Raumskaya, South Africa's Seu Seppie, Chile's Teipah, Holland's Kerkstra, Hungary's Chillum Trio, Germany's DJ MonoKey, Switzerland's Merlin and Cuba's Kike Wolf.
