ED BANGER VS RAM RECORDS

The clash of label heads. Which one will win your party persuasion?
In the Rain - Will Atkinson & William Daniel - CD-R
Sheer force of (ahem) Will power sees 'In The Rain' onto this month's page. Having worked a deadly, crunchily cantering percussion loop into its tenacious drums and growling sub-bass set-up, it opens up a catch-yer-breath beautiful harmonic front. Add to that a killer vocal hook (a beautifully retouched version of the "forget the world/forget the people" favourite), and ladies and gentlemen, we have a real gem.
Come On - Frontliner - Keep It Up Music
The king of melodies returns on his ever growing Keep It Up Music label, which has delivered hit after hit since its launch last year and this release certainly doesn't disappoint! Keeping elements hard and heavy either side of the main breakdown whilst letting the catchy melodies take centre place in the main drop keeping those frontliner happy melodies running throughout! Proving again why this guy deserves to be in the top 100 dj poll and at forefront of the scene!
State of Mind EP - John Dimas - Dame-Music
John Dimas returns for another outing on Bloody Mary's Dame-Music imprint, following his last appearance on 'Klub Klub Elite Vol. 3 EP', via recent releases on Claap and La Vie En Rose. 'State of Mind' is a straight jacker, layered with some subtly hypnotic arpeggios. Simple, but so very effective. 'Overthink' is a little more ambitious, boasting all the hallmarks of a Chi-Town classic. But produced in 2013. By a Greek. In Berlin. It's no mean feat.
Freaked/Ram Raid - Jase Thirlwall - Mental Asylum
Two more, hard retro-trance outings from the wonderfully throwback Mental Asylum stable. Like rocket-boot-rollerskates, enormous fun, while the ride lasts.
