Solar Body boss Otik serves up a rib-tickling, bass-driven remix of Long Island Sound’s ‘Flare’
Otik will deliver a new remix of Long Island Sound’s ‘Flare’ later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to the track below.
The Solar Body boss continues on his remixing streak – which most recently featured Anjunadeep affiliate Marsh – with a rib-tickling edit of ‘Flare’. A favourite from Long Island Sound’s February ‘Fracture’ EP, the track gets a cavernous, bass-driven revamp, crafted with the same palette of unusual textures and off-kilter rhythms that made Otik’s debut album, ‘Cosmosis’, one of 2023’s most alluring.
Blissed-out arps and rumbling plumes of sub-bass take centre stage on his newest dancefloor wobbler, as the Bristolian artist adds another notch to his already imposing repertoire. The remix is set to land on Turkish imprint Oath, shortly followed by Spray’s Balearic spin on title track ‘Fracture’ – another standout from Long Island Sound’s February four-tracker.
“Our new EP, Fracture, is an exploration of darker spaces and emotions,” the Dublin-based duo shared. “We spent a lot of time experimenting with vocals, synths and reverbs, aiming to create intense and resonating moments for both big and small environments.”
