Armin van Buuren announces 21st ‘A State Of Trance’ mix album, shares ‘Who’s Afraid Of 138?!’: Listen

Armin van Buuren will release the 21st instalment of his ‘A State Of Trance’ album mix series on 17th May. 

The latest edition of the long-running series comes a year after the 20th instalment, and will feature a total of 42 tracks, divided into three mixes: ‘On The Beach’, ‘In The Club’, and ‘Who’s Afraid Of 138?!’.

‘Who’s Afraid Of 138?!’ has already been released, after being shared during a bonus hour on van Buuren’s A State of Trance radio show last week. The 14-track mix features several tracks from the Dutch producer and DJ, including collaborative tracks like ‘Now Love Will Begin’, produced with HI-LO, and the recently released ‘What Took You So Long’, with Gryffin. 

Omiki & Terra’s remix of Armin van Buuren & Vini Vici’s ‘Yama’, featuring Tribal Dance & Natalie Wamba, also makes an appearance, alongside tracks by RIVER, Maarten de Jong, Ahmed Helmy, Allen Watts, David Forbes, Protoculture, and more. You can listen to the mix below. 

Although tracklists for the other two mixes on the album have yet to be announced, the album description mentions that the full release will include ‘In My Mind’ by Gabry Ponte & Giuseppe Ottaviani featuring Malou, ‘Fulfillment’ by Ferry Corsten & Marsh, and Agents Of Time’s remix of van Buuren’s track ‘Love Is A Drug’, featuring Anne Gudrun. Additionally, tracks from Above & Beyond, Andrew Rayel, and Matt Fax are also expected to be included in the full release.

The announcement comes not long after news that Armin Van Buuren’s ‘Communication’ will be getting a vinyl reissue. The classic trance track, initially released back in 1991, was a pivotal tune in the DJ’s career.
