The list of artists up for Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 66th annual Grammy Awards has been unveiled.

Donna Summer, Laurie Anderson, and N.W.A, are among the names set to be recognised for their work at this year’s Special Merit Awards ceremony, which takes place the day before the 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on 4th February.

They follow in the footsteps of 2023's Lifetime Achievement awardees, which included Nile Rodgers, Slick Rick, and Nirvana.

DJ Kool Herc is also among the Trustees Award winners at this year's Grammys, alongside Peter Asher and Joel Katz. The track 'Refugee' by K’naan, Steve McEwan, and Gerald Eaton will receive the Best Song for Social Change Award.

Last May, hip-hop pioneer DJ Kool Herc joined Kate Bush, Missy Elliott, and Chaka Khan to be the latest group of artists inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

Meanwhile, back in 2022, a sound system that belonged to DJ Kool Herc sold at auction for $201,600. Last May, a Donna Summer documentary, Love To Love You, was released.
