Hudson Mohawke and Tiga are joining forces as Love Minus Zero for their debut full-length album, ‘L’Ecstasy’. Listen to the latest single, ‘In Order 2’, below.

The new LP will be land on 1st December, following a string of collaborative singles including ‘Feel the Rush’ and ‘VSOD (Velvet Sky of Dreams)’, along with numerous b2b sets over the years.

Recorded in Los Angeles between 2019 and 2023, the material on ‘L’Ecstasy’ is said to capture a creative partnership founded on a mutual love of “hardcore romance”, and features a heart-on-sleeve production style. The latest single, ‘In Order 2’, landed yesterday (4th October) and will close out the 15-track album.

“This song captures the whole reason we started making music together,” said Tiga of its release. “Ross’ perfect melancholic chords allowed me to express a genuine longing that I wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. And we did it all with some lost neo-warehouse sunrise vibes.”

The single and album artwork were created by photographer Wolfgang Tillmans — best known for shooting the cover image of Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde’ — who reached out after hearing the track during the duo’s LMZ Sonar performance in Barcelona. Tillmans noted that the track struck “a Herznote, or chord close to the heart.”

“Normally you’ll just accept ‘genre-defying’ or ’nuts-to-the-wall’ as a compliment and move on,” Tiga adds. “But we saw our intention reflected in his words. Getting to collaborate with a world-class artist like Wolfgang validates the very idea of having emotions at all.”

Earlier this summer, HudMo dropped a new song to mark the official launch of Wimbledon 2023. ‘Pushing On (Always Like Never Before)’ features vocals from GiGi Grombacher, and was used to soundtrack a collage of historic tennis moments.

‘L’Ecstasy’ is out 1st December via Love Minus Communications. Listen to ‘In Order 2’ below.
