The LA artist's second album was developed from an artist residency in London

Liv.e has announced a new album, 'Girl In the Half Pearl', and shared the video to the second single, 'Wild Animals'. You can watch that below.

The second LP from the Los Angeles-Based, Dallas-raised artist will land on 10th February via Real Life, and deals with themes of grief, acceptance, relationship dynamics, forgiveness and reclamation of womanhood. Musically immersive, the core of the record was developed while experimenting with live performance as part of a residency at London's Laylow restaurant, event and exhibition space.

"I really love the process of coming up with a vision and doing my best to ensure that it will come out just as it was in my imagination. I tend to use almost all my practices as another way to strengthen my trust and belief in myself," Liv.e said of how directorial process directly informs her music. "The concept is just based on the release of letting go old 'people-pleasing' habits that I tended to act on in the past a lot. A depiction of gaining the strength and courage to choose myself every time."

'Wild Animals' follow the previously released single, 'Ghost', in October.

In addition to her solo work, this year Liv.e featured on Mount Kimbie's 'MK3.5' release.

You can pre-order Liv.e's new album on Bandcamp.

Correction 21/11/2022: This article previously stated that 'Wild Animals' was the first single from 'Girl In The Half Pearl'. This was incorrect and has been amended.
