A new MF Doom biography has been announced.
The book, set to be published 7th November via Faber, will chronicle the life and career of the reclusive and revered hip-hop artist.
Authored by journalist S. H. Fernando JR, aka SKIZ, the book lays out the history of East-coast rap against DOOM’s life story and dissects the personas, projects, tracks, and lyrics that led to his success.
The Chronicles of DOOM: Unraveling Rap’s Masked Iconoclast will also feature exclusive interviews with those who worked closely with the British-American rapper, providing an intimate, behind-the-scenes look into his life.

DOOM, aka Dumile Daniel Thompson, died age of 49 on 31st October 2020, at St. James' University Hospital in Leeds after experiencing angioedema (a sudden swelling of the body) and later suffering a respiratory attack.
An inquest into his death later raised concerns about the rapper's treatment before his passing, including delays in administering his medication. The Leeds Hospital issued a public apology in response, acknowledging that there were "missed opportunities" during his treatment.
Back in 2021, MF DOOM’s legacy was explored in a podcast series – including insight from friends, family and collaborators.
