RADIOHEAD RELEASE NINTH STUDIO ALBUM

Released on Sunday evening at 7pm GMT...

Radiohead have released their ninth studio album, ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’, which was made available at 7pm on Sunday evening.

Having teased new material throughout last week, the new album features 11 tracks including ‘Burn The Witch’ and ‘Daydreaming’, which were unveiled earlier this week.

At the moment the only way you can stream the album is via Apple Music or Tidal, or you can buy it digitally from iTunes.

The band’s label XL Recordings plans to release the album physically on 17th June, with a special edition vinyl version coming this September.

And for diehard fans and collectors, XL have announced that they will be reissuing the band’s iconic back catalogue on vinyl on 30th May.

Radiohead singer Thom Yorke has long been a critic of Spotify and streaming in general, branding it “the last desperate fart of a dying corpse”.

He added: “I feel like as musicians we need to fight the Spotify thing. I feel that in some ways what’s happening in the mainstream is the last gasp of the old industry. Once that does finally die, which it will, something else will happen.”
