SHINDIG WEEKENDER RUNS ONLINE TALENT CONTEST

Bag a set at the Somerset festival this May...

The Shindig Weekender is back for its third run — the music and dance festival based in a secret location near Bath over the three days of the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Live music will go on all day and night, with a line-up so far that includes Beardyman, Dub Pistols, Andrew Weatherall, LTJ Bukem and The Cuban Brothers.

And you can also perform alongside the cream of worldwide dance music — they’re looking for bright new talent of all kinds, who’ll get to play a set at the Weekender. The winner will also get entry to the weekend with one other person, plus camping and parking.

They’re opening it up to all performers, DJs, singers, bands, poets, cabaret or anyone who thinks they have something special to add to the event.

They say: ‘We want, throat warblers, budgie smugglers, axe jugglers, spandex, human cannonballs, fembots, fambots, manbots....whatever you do - come at us!’

For the judging, they’ve invited three great brains to help make the selections - JFB will be casting his vote on any DJ submissions, Barry Ashworth will be looking after the live acts and any bands while Dutty Moonshine will be on hand to judge all circus and cabaret submissions, and GF Talent Management will be judging across all categories.

Here’s how you can enter:
