Skrillex was forced to pause his set at this year's Primavera Sound due to a fire breaking out on stage.

On 2nd June, the LA producer and DJ - real name Sonny Moore - was forced to temporarily stop his late-night performance at the annual Barcelona festival due to the incident. Representatives from Primavera Sound confirmed there was a small fire in one of the lights and that no injuries were reported.

Videos of the incident - dubbed a "technical error" over the festival's public address system - appear to show a lighting rig catching fire. Skrillex resumed his set 10 minutes after the incident occurred. Check out crowd footage of the fire via Twitter below.

The incident comes two weeks after Skrillex confirmed the rumours that he will be releasing at least one more album in 2023. The upcoming release will be Skrillex’s third in 2023, following ‘Quest For Fire’, his first full-length project in nine years, and the poppier ‘Don't Get Too Close’, which he surprised fans with less than 24 hours later.

Barcelona's flagship festival, this year's Primavera Sound ran from Thursday, 1st June, through Saturday, the 3rd, at Parc Del Forum, with the debut Madrid edition set to take place at Cívitas Metropolitano from Thursday, 8th June, to Saturday, the 10th.
