Top Boy season five arrives on Netflix in September

Top Boy's fifth and final season will arrive on Netflix in September. 

After confirming production for the last season of the British drama in March 2022, Netflix has shared the first teaser trailer for the acclaimed show. It centres on characters Sully and Dushane, played by Kano and Ashley Walters, with an emotional Kano delivering the clip's closing lines: "If we're not monsters, we're food. And I could never be food.” 

Netflix, which picked up the Channel 4 show in 2017 after the UK network cancelled it following its 2013 second season, didn't reveal an exact premiere date for the third season produced by the streaming giant and only detailed it would land in September. 

Top Boy's previous season, the second by Netflix and fourth overall, featured Little Simz, Michael Ward and NoLay and music by Burna Boy, Jorja Smith, Central Cee, Amaarae, Pa Salieu, Unknown T and more.
