Exclusive Jus-Ed and BLM DJ mixes, plus limited guestlist
Calling your label Underground Quality might seems a bit presumptuous, but then boss Jus-Ed's reputation as a DJ, promoter, producer and all round giver of good vibes is legendary in New York, where he holds regular parties, and beyond, soemthing helped by his weekly radio show on myhouseyourhouse.net.
Having given a leg up to the likes of Nina Kraviz and Levon Vincent, Ed gathers his current crew of proteges – which includes Londoner BLM (one half of the much respected Fear of Flying label), and Manchester-based duo Juniper, aka Dan Mumberson & Reuben Holt – as well as fellow Bridgeport, Connecticut, resident Jenifa Mayanja, to ply their deep vibes at Fabric on Saturday 5th May.
Rocking room three, it's a chance to catch their brand of rootsy house music in an intimate setting with Ed promising there'll be special promotional give-aways if you come and say hello on the night. Not only that but they also have limited £10 guestlist if you message [email protected] with the subject 'UQ Label Night At Fabric.' You'll need to include the full names of each person and the list closes at 1am.
To get you in the mood we have three exclusive mixes from BLM, Juniper (who will be represented on the night by the DJ of the pair, Dan) and Jus-Ed himself. Packed with recent and forthcoming Underground Quality releases, as well as tracks from equally consistently brilliant labels such as Tsuba and Workshop, they're a taster of the hypnotic, warm analogue adventures and stripped back percussive grooves that await.
With Magda and Heartthrob also heading up room one, and electro/techno heads Wang taking over room two with a line-up that includes Radioactive Man, Cristian Vogel and Plaid, it transpires that Underground Quality isn't just an apt label of Jus-Ed and crew; it also covers the night's refined line-up as a whole.
