BEN KLOCK AND MARCEL DETTMANN JOIN FORCES FOR OSTGUT TON'S 100TH 12" RELEASE
Seven-track EP set to land 27th January...
Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann will drop a collaborative EP this month in celebration of Berghain-affliated label Ostgut Ton reaching 100 12" releases.
Titled 'Phantom Studies', the milestone record contains seven tracks ranging from "relentlessly pounding" techno to "hypnotic, melodic and soulful music", says the imprint.
Two tracks also include vocals from the producers, with Klock delivering a "spoken-word sermon" on 'Prophet Man' and Dettmann featuring on 'The Room'.
The decision to ask the pair to mark the occasion is highly fitting given both their Berghain residencies and the fact that Ostgut Ton's first ever single — 2006's 'Dawning' — was also a collaboration between the two.
