Corsica co-founder Amanda Moss has lost her battle with cancer after her health deteriorated rapidly over the weekend.
"It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that Amanda's health deteriorated rapidly over the weekend and at 8:30 PM yesterday evening she passed away peacefully," reads a post on the Gofundme page that was setup to raise funds for her treatment in Germany.
"Amanda's family and I would like you all to know how much we appreciate the numerous messages of support, donations and fundraising activities that have been offered over the last few months as they really gave her a chance to try the treatments she needed and to face this illness on her own terms," the Gofundme post adds.
"She was incredibly brave but unfortunately some battles are too big and, despite her determination, positivity and will to succeed, this was one that she just couldn't win."
The dance music community has paid tribute to Moss who was instrumental in making Corsica Studios in South London one of the capital's most loved venues.
Amanda's role in giving new talent their chance to perform and develop their careers has seen her tireless work in the music industry leaving a lasting legacy.
Our condolences are with Amanda's friends and family during this tragic time.
