Rega announces updates to Planar 6 turntable

Includes the advanced Neo power supply source...

Rega has unveiled a newly overhauled RP6 model. It follows recent updates to the RP1, 2, and 3.

In an effort to “reproduce your vinyl as accurately as possible”, everything aside from the RB330 arm and plastic lid hinges have seen an upgrade.

The RP6 now arrives when an external Neo power supply unit. This new feature offers electronic speed change, advanced anti-vibration control, and user adjustable electronic fine speed adjustment only found on the RP10 until now. The technology also corrects for fluctuations within the mains’ current thus further eliminating any audio inaccuracies.

Other key features include a dual layer smoked/clear float glass platter, high-precision drive pulley, ultra-low friction central brass hub, and low noise synchronous motor. The unit is available in one finish, ‘Polaris Grey’ matte with high gloss black polymer edge trim.

The Planar 6 and Neo PSU with factory fitted Ania moving coil cartridge will retail for £1398 ($1822US). Sans the Ania cartridge, the unit retails for £998 ($1301US).

More details are available via Rega.

As a reminder, Rega was the turntable manufacturer of choice for 2016’ Daft Punk ‘Discovery’ listening parties.
