Berlin's Bar 25, which opened last summer, is a somewhat quirky entry in our Top 100 Clubs poll, with its riverside garden, restaurant, tiny hostel in the backyard and rope swings. Think playground soundtracked by the likes of A Guy Called Gerald and Thomas Schumacher, who's happy to go there as a punter.

"It's so different to anywhere else - anything can happen," says Schumacher. "It's run by modern hippies who live there and pick their guests carefully. Everybody knows the soundsystem is shit but the music is just a soundtrack to a weird adult playground."
