Curl down luxuriant, verdant mountain ridges, down past the golden sands and crystal waters of Maresias Beach and delve into the rainforests that shoulder it. This is where you'll find the spellbinding tropics of the Sirena club.

A man whose own career has bookmarked the evolution of Brazilian dance culture, Anderson Noise hails it as "the first Brazilian club to make headlines round the world" and believes "there's still nothing like rocking the main floor here".

But whilst the vast warehouse space of the main room is impressive, it is the experience of dancing under the tropical greenery of the open-air, wooden-decked terrace that gives this club its unique charm. Guy J, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin, Christian Smith and Chris Tietjen are all fans.

"It's one of the most evocative and beautiful places in the world to play," believes Paolo Mojo, who recorded half of his forthcoming mix album 'XXXX' here. "People from all over Brazil come to party here and when it's full and on fire it's pretty hard to beat."
