Rex Club
| NEW ENTRY

Still one of France's most cutting-edge clubs, the Rex first opened around the time of the birth of acid house (1987) and was brought to international prominence by Laurent Garnier's Wake Up parties in the early-'90s. It's played a crucial role in the development of electronic music in France over the years, and continues to excel and innovate. Most of the technoscenti - Hawtin, Villalobos, Luciano, Loco Dice, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Carl Craig, Agoria and of course Garnier - have played there recently, and the club is about to release its first mix compilation that's been mixed by acclaimed Parisian jock D'Julz.
