One of several appearances for the Dutch hard dance scene in the Top 100, prominent hardstyle act Showtek (made up of siblings Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen) have used 2011 to expand their sound, building the various vocal elements used on previous album 'Analogue Players In A Digital World' into their live show.
“2011 has been great so far,” say the duo. “Our performance on stage has definitely developed positively, mixing all genres together to create a great vibe on the dancefloor, and with Sjoerd MCing and Wouter DJing,a new visual show and some live singing performances.”

A show at Las Vegas' Electric Daisy Carnival opened up the duo's pounding, post-trance thumps and rave-quaking riffs to some new ears (as did Sjoerd's performance with Tiësto at the event), and hosting their own stage at Dance Valley (held in the Netherlands) gave Showtek further large-scale exposure this year.
A new full-length album is the major plan for next year, but as well as this, the brothers will simply “Keep experimenting with music and make people smile!” Can't argue with that. TRISTAN PARKER
