Nothing beats a good old-fashioned tour. Driving around over 20,000km of North American soil in a portable studio with five of the hottest DJs today is not exactly a typical dance artist's day in the office (but Steve Lawler, Audiofly and Tiefschwarz are not your typical dance artists!)
Starting in Montréal and finishing off in Miami, the five will be doing 13 gigs in just over a fortnight. The bus will shelter them and drive them around whilst they get busy producing in the portable studio on board the bus sponsored by Beatport, who will also cover the tour on beatportal.com.
Lawler has finally shaken off his progressive tag by teaming up with Tiefschwarz & co. Audiofly, on the other hand, have had ties with Steve since their formation in 2002. SLAFF is the alias they produce under with Lawler and they just released 'Low Pressure' on his label Viva. They even mixed us a special covermount CD as part of our Face-Off series back in 2006.
As for the German double act, they have been around since the 90s.
"...this will help increase Tiefschwarz's profile in America and in the electronic music community – it's great to see how the scene is developing over the last few years!" claim Ali and Basti who will only play on the last four dates of the tour.
All productions and remixes on the road will be out later on Viva and distributed by Beatport.
