His peerless knack of unifying progressive and trance fans has again paid dividends for Andy Moor, while his AVA Recordings label has had a second stellar year in operation, peaking with the release of his 'Fake Awake' track. On the gig front, Andy reflects: "It's going to be easier for me to tell you the main places I've not played this year - namely Australasia and South Africa. Everywhere else, I've touched the tarmac!" He's also had his share of stories and scrapes from the road too. "In Columbia, a baggage handler dipped into my suitcase and replaced my shoes with his unholy smelling, clapped-out ones. It seems I'm often targeted by the Baggage Handlers Thievery Association!" he quips. "I'm alright with it as long as the contents are going to a good cause!" Away from DJing and production, Andy has been investing some time with a special project back on his home turf. "I've been working with a youth project in my native Stoke-on-Trent, which uses creative art forms to support the rehabilitation of disadvantaged young people in the area," he reveals. "That's been good for the soul!"
