Listen to Nia Archives’ debut album, ‘Silence Is Loud’

Nia Archives has released her long-awaited debut album, ‘Silence Is Loud’. Listen to it below.

Out today (Friday, 12th April) via HIJINXX/Island Records, the record features 13 tracks, including the singles ‘Crowded Roomz’‘So Tell Me’ and ‘Forbidden Feelingz’.

The Bradford-born producer and DJ describes the project as “more song-focussed, putting interesting sounds on jungle”, and exploring topics of loneliness, unrequited love, family, navigating her early twenties, and more.

“Wow I actually cannot believe this is happening omg !! ‘Silence Is Loud’ has been tha soundtrack 2 my life over tha past year and I am so so sooo proud of this thing I’ve created”, Archives shared on her Instagram this morning. “... It’s exposing some of my most raw, vulnerable and sometimes embarrassing emotions but I wouldn’t have it any other way as it is 100% authentically me.”

Last December, Nia Archives returned to Depot Mayfield with the debut outing of her UP YA ARCHIVES show. The takeover, curated by Nia, brought together the likes of Shy FXInterplanetary CriminalYung Singhsalute, a debut Special Request b2b Clipz set, and more.

In the same month, she received a nomination at the MOBO Awards in the Best Dance/Electronic Act category, alongside fellow nominees for 2022 including AlunaPinkPantheressShygirlTSHA, and Salute.
