Recently celebrating 11 years together with two sold out shows at Red Rocks, Colorado, LA-based duo Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, better known as The Chainsmokers, certainly don’t show any sign of the party ending.

Easing into the last 12 months by unveiling lo-fi remixes that had come out of their listening habits during the pandemic years, it’s ending full of high-octane energy, playing to 100,000 fans in Brazil — a moment captured by their videographer zip-lining over the crowd. In the meantime they’ve continued to tour extensively across the globe — personally starting a mosh-pit in Brussels and shutting down the centre of Ho Chi Minh city for their gig in Vietnam — while their Party Never Ends tour wowed capacity audiences across the US.

‘Don’t Let Me Down’ became their second diamond record and ‘Paris’ celebrated their fourth track with a billion Spotify streams. The music has kept flowing from their studio, more recent tracks including ‘My Bad’ with Shenseea, ‘Jungle’ alongside Alok and Mae Stephens, and ‘Celular’ with Nicky Jam and Maluma. Perhaps biggest of all, however, has been ‘Summertime Friends’, a track Drew wrote and sung about the first meeting with his now partner Mari.

Fave tune of 2023: “Calvin Harris ‘Miracle’.”

Best DJ set you've seen in 2023: “SG Lewis.”

Rising Star DJ/producer of 2023: “BUNT.”
