ShyGirl Boys Noize tell me Club Shy

Shygirl and Boys Noize have linked up on a new single, 'tell me'. You can hear the track, which is taken from the forthcoming EP, 'Club Shy', below.

The full package arrives on digital and pink 12" vinyl on 29th March, and also features SG Lewis, Karma Kid, and Sega Bodega as producers. Shygirl has invited artists including Empress Of and Lolo Zouaï to guest on the record. Preceding singles 'thicc', with Kingdom, and 'F@k€' starring Cosha, also feature.

You can pre-order the release here.

Speaking to Hanuman Welch on Apple Music 1's 'The Zane Lowe Show', Shygirl shared more detail about how the tune came about, the feelings that inspired it, and the collaborative process. "Dance music for me is at my core and I really feel like it's the one thing that everyone always returns to. We all need to have fun. Dance music is always fun and it's never too serious.

"It's the only time when you can talk about maybe a breakup or missing someone and still be twirling around on the dance floor. So I feel it's the best mood to be in and it's the best way to start January," she continued. "I was writing a love song and it was just words. And then I met up with Boys Noize... he took hold of it and completely transformed it. But he was like, 'Okay, I get what you're saying and you're sad, but let me take it to the dog's ball.' And he's such an upbeat character. I think you can hear that in the music, the energy... it's the fastest song I've done for a while."

The six-track EP shares its title with the name of Shygirl's club event series, which she started in homage to the nightlife she grew up around and continues to experience in East London. After debuting at the city's Metropolis in 2022, Club Shy has since gone on to hit cities including Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, with editions also held in Brazil.
