Shifting his Ibiza club night Release Yourself from its previous home on Mondays at Pacha to Tuesdays at Amnesia has been something of a revelation for veteran Queens-born jock Roger Sanchez. After an impressive seven consecutive seasons at the venerable Ibiza Town venue, it certainly sounds like a change has done him the world of good.

"It has been amazing, the response we have got, we've been full all summer long," he gushes. "I've been able to really refocus everything on the events. For the closing party, we did a five-deck mash-up with Laidback Luke, and it was off the chain."

It's also given him a chance to roadtest 'Together', his rather large B52s-sampling dancefloor devastator, the first single to drop from his forthcoming artist album, which is currently in the planning stages and, if schedules permit, will feature appearances from MC Flipside and bona fide hip-hop legend Afrika Bambaataa.

"A lot of different artists, a lot of different vibes," says Roger of the plans for the new set, his first since 2006's 'Come With Me'. "It will take a bit of time to get everything right, but I'm setting my sights on releasing it next year."
